Introduction
This page provides work instructions on how to setup the Element-C to connect to the Thermo MaxQ CO2 Plus Shaker. These instructions are only applicable to shakers are equipped with the 4-20mA output controller box.
Materials
Your package contains the following items:
- Element-C w/Power Supply and Connection Cable
- Data Port, Supplied by Thermo, Thermo PN 88881181
Equipment Needed for Setup
- Small flathead and Phillips screwdriver
Setup Instructions
1. Carefully remove the contents from its packaging. If any of the contents looks damaged, please send a picture of the contents to help@elementalmachines.com.
2. Confirm that the Element-C is configured for the Thermo MaxQ CO2 Plus Shaker.
3. Plug in the Element-C and complete the Wifi Connect instructions.
4. Unplug the Element-C.
5. Wire the Connection cable to Element-C.
a. Slightly loosen the screws in Slots 1 and 2 on the green terminal block on the Element-C.

b. Insert the RED Wire from the Connection Cable into SLOT 1 of the green terminal block on the Element-C. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.
c. Insert the BLACK Wire from Connection Cable into SLOT 2 of the green terminal block on the Element-C. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.
6. Power off the Control Box.
7. Slightly loosen the screws on the ( +) and (- ) slots on the data port that plugs into the Control Box.
a. Insert the RED Wire from the Connection Cable in the ( +) Slot. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.
b. Insert the BLACK Wire from the Connection Cable on the (- ) Slot. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.
8. Plug the data port into the Control box.
9. Power on the Control box.
10. Confirm that RPM speeds are reported on the Elemental dashboard. Setup desired alerts for the equipment.
