Introduction
This page provides work instructions for on-site integration between the Eppendorf New Brunswick 41i and Element-D.
Materials
Your package contains the following items:
- Element-D w/Power Supply
- Ethernet cable
Setup Instructions
1. Plug in the Element-D and complete the Wifi Connect instructions.
2. Connect the Element-D to the Eppendorf New Brunswick 41i via the ethernet cable to one of the ethernet ports. The location of the ethernet port is 1 in the figure below.
3. Go to the incubator Menu 1 display. Go to Menu 2 by pressing the right arrow button.
4. Press the Diagnostics button to get to the Diagnostics screen.
5. Note whether the Display Version is at least 2.03 and the IO Version is at least 1.54. If so, press DONE and proceed to Step 6. If not, contact your Eppendorf representative to update these to the latest versions.
6. Press the Communications button to open the Set Communications screen
7. Change the IP address to 192.168.20.1
Hit OK either to reset each of the four sets of digits, separated by . (Address A, B, C and D) or to cycle through each set and change any as needed. In the figure above:
Address A = 192
Address B = 168
Address C = 020
Address D = 001

8. Power cycle the Element-D.
9. Check your Elemental Machines dashboard account to confirm that incubator values are displayed.
10. Setup desired alerts for the incubator on the Elemental Machines dashboard.
