Introduction
This page provides work instructions on how to setup the Element-C to with the new Multitron (white one).
Materials
Your package contains the following items:
- Element-C w/Power Supply
- Connection cable NOTE: This is unique to the Multitron Incubator Shaker
Equipment Needed for Setup
- Small flathead screwdriver
Setup Instructions
- Carefully remove the contents from its packaging. If any of the contents looks damaged, please send a picture of the contents to help@elementalmachines.com.
- Plug in the Element-C and complete the Wifi Connect instructions (see attachment).
- Power off the Element-C.
- Wire the Connection cable to Element-C.
- Slightly loosen the screws in Slots 1 through 8 on the green terminal block on the Element-C. Figure 1: Connection cable wiring into Element-C Terminal Block
- Insert the RED Wire from the Connection Cable into SLOT 1 of the green terminal block on the Element-C. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.
- Insert the WHITE Wire from Connection Cable into SLOT 2 of the green terminal block on the Element-C. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.
- Insert the ORANGE Wire from Connection Cable into SLOT 3 of the green terminal block on the Element-C. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.
- Insert the BLUE Wire from Connection Cable into SLOT 4 of the green terminal block on the Element-C. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.
- Insert the GREEN Wire from Connection Cable into SLOT 5 of the green terminal block on the Element-C. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.
- Insert the YELLOW Wire from Connection Cable into SLOT 6 of the green terminal block on the Element-C. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.
- Insert the BLACK Wire from Connection Cable into SLOT 7 of the green terminal block on the Element-C. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.
- Insert the BROWN Wire from Connection Cable into SLOT 8 of the green terminal block on the Element-C. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.
- Power off the incubator shaker.
- Locate the analog module on the back of the Multitron as shown Figure 2. Figure 2: Analog Module on White Multitron
- Loosen the four hexalobular screws (M4x6) on the lid of the module. Guide the connection cable through the cable gland.
- Loosen the screws for the following slots on the analog module:
Left side (Figure 3)
Slot 2/Channel 1+/Iout0
Slot 3/Channel 1-/AGND0
Slot 8/Channel 3+/Iout2
Slot 9/Channel 3-/AGND2
Slot 12/Channel 5-/AGND3/4
Slot 14/Channel 5+/Iout4

- Loosen the screws for the following slots on the analog module:
- Wire the Analog Module as follows:
- Insert the RED Wire from Connection Cable into Slot 2/Channel 1+/Iout0. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure.
- Insert the WHITE Wire from Connection Cable into Slot 3/Channel 1-/AGND0. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure.
- Insert the GREEN Wire from Connection Cable into Slot 8/Channel 3+/Iout2. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure.
- Insert the YELLOW Wire from Connection Cable into Slot 9/Channel 3-/AGND2. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure.
- Insert the BROWN Wire from Connection Cable into Slot 12/Channel 5-/AGND3/4. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure.
- Insert the BLACK Wire from Connection Cable into Slot 14/Channel 5+/Iout4. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure.
- Insert the ORANGE Wire from Connection Cable into Slot 5/Channel 7+/Iout6. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure.
- Insert the BLUE Wire from Connection Cable into Slot 6/Channel 7-/AND6/7. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure.
- Replace the lid on the Analog module.
- Power on the incubator shaker
- Check the Elemental Machines dashboard to ensure that the incubator data appears online. Set up any desired alerts on the platform.
