Introduction

This page provides work instructions on how to setup the PureAire Oxygen Deficiency Monitor with the Element-C at a customer site.

Materials

  • Element-C w/Power Supply
  • PureAire Monitor Connection Cable
  • PureAire Oxygen Deficiency Monitor (may already be onsite)

Equipment

  • Small flathead screwdriver 

Procedure

  1. Carefully remove the contents from its packaging.  If any of the contents looks damaged, please send a picture of the contents to help@elementalmachines.com. 
  2. Plug in the Element-C and complete the Wifi Connect instructions. 
  3. Connect the Element-C cable to the PureAire monitor.
    1. Power off the PureAire monitor.
    2. Unscrew the screws shown below in Figure 1 on the cover and name plate:

c. Carefully remove the electronics assembly from the housing. It may be necessary to unplug the cable connectors (shown in Figure 2) to do this.

d. Open up the strain relief grip on the housing, circled in Figure 3, to route the Connection Cable through it. Figure 3: Strain relief grip on the bottom of the oxygen meter housing


e. Locate the Power Analog output terminal block and Identification Legend on the electronics (circled in RED in Figure 4).

f. Insert the RED wire in the MA Slot. Tighten the screw.

g. Insert the BLACK wire in the (-) Slot.

h. Plug the connectors back into the electronics and replace the electronics setup into the housing. Replace the cover and tighten the screws for the name plate and cover.

4. Connect the Element-C cable to the Element-C

a. Slightly loosen the two screws for Slots 1 and 2 on the green terminal block on the Element-C.

b. Insert the RED wire of the Connection Cable into SLOT 1 of the green terminal block on the Element-C. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.

c. Insert the BLACK Wire of the Connection Cable into SLOT 2 of the green terminal block on the Element-C. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.

5. Power on the Oxygen Deficiency Monitor

6. Power on the Element-C

7. Check the Elemental Machines dashboard to ensure that the PureAire data appears online. Set up any desired alerts on the dashboard.
