Introduction
This page provides work instructions on how to setup the Element-C to connect to the Esco CelCulture incubator. These instructions apply to the following CelCulture models:

Materials
Your package contains the following items:
- Element-C w/Power Supply
- Connection cable NOTE: This is unique to Esco CelCulture Series Incubators
Equipment Needed for Setup
- Small flathead screwdriver
- Additional screwdriver needed for Esco CelCulture Series incubator connection
Setup Instructions
Prerequisites:
- Analog output board must be installed
- Output mode must be set to Current (I) on the U9 Output Mode Switch in the center of the analog output board
- Make sure the wires are connected to J11, J13, J15, J17 Current Output Jacks.
- Make sure the jumper cap covers Pins 2 and 3 for all four channels in the analog output board
Connecting Element-C to Esco Incubator:
- Carefully remove the contents from its packaging. If any of the contents looks damaged, please send a picture of the contents to help@elementalmachines.com.
- Plug in the Element-C and complete the Wifi Connect instructions.
- Wire the Connection cable to Element-C.
- Slightly loosen the screws in Slots 1 through 8 on the green terminal block on the Element-C. Figure 1: Connection cable wiring into Element-C Terminal Block
- Insert the RED Wire from the Connection Cable into SLOT 1 of the green terminal block on the Element-C. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.
- Insert the WHITE Wire from Connection Cable into SLOT 2 of the green terminal block on the Element-C. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.
- Insert the ORANGE Wire from Connection Cable into SLOT 3 of the green terminal block on the Element-C. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.
- Insert the BLUE Wire from Connection Cable into SLOT 4 of the green terminal block on the Element-C. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.
- Insert the GREEN Wire from Connection Cable into SLOT 5 of the green terminal block on the Element-C. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.
- Insert the YELLOW Wire from Connection Cable into SLOT 6 of the green terminal block on the Element-C. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.
- Insert the BLACK Wire from Connection Cable into SLOT 7 of the green terminal block on the Element-C. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.
- Insert the BROWN Wire from Connection Cable into SLOT 8 of the green terminal block on the Element-C. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure in the slot.
- Slightly loosen the screws for the Temp, CO2, RH, and CO2 (+) and (-) channels on the terminal block of the Esco CelCulture Incubator. Figure 2: Connection Cable is wired to the Temp, CO2, RH, and CO2, (+) and (-) Channels of the Esco Incubator
- Insert the RED Wire from Connection Cable around the TEMP (+) slot. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure.
- Insert the WHITE Wire from Connection Cable around the TEMP (-) slot. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure.
- Insert the BLACK Wire from Connection Cable around the CO2 (+) slot. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure.
- Insert the BROWN Wire from Connection Cable around the CO2 (-) slot. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure.
- Insert the ORANGE Wire from Connection Cable into the RH (+) slot. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure.
- Insert the BLUE Wire from Connection Cable into the RH (-) slot. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure.
- Insert the GREEN Wire from Connection Cable into the O2 (+) slot. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure.
- Insert the YELLOW Wire from Connection Cable into the O2 (-) slot. Tighten the screw to ensure that the wire is secure.
