Introduction

This page provides work instructions on how to setup the CO2Meter.com Remote CO2 Storage Safety Alarm (MFR Model RAD-0102-6) with the Element-C.

Materials

  • Element-C w/Power Supply
  • CO2Meter Connection Cable (supplied by Elemental Machines)
  • CO2Meter.com Remote CO2 Storage Safety Alarm (may already be onsite)

Equipment

  • Small flathead screwdriver for Element-C

Procedure

  1. Carefully remove the contents from its packaging. If any of the contents looks damaged, please send a picture of the contents to help@elementalmachines.com. 
  2. Plug in the Element-C and complete the Wifi Connect instructions
  3. Locate the green terminal block on the main unit (not smaller remote unit) of the CO2Meter.com Remote CO2 Storage Safety Alarm. See Figures 1a and 1b below. The slots that need to be wired up to connect to the Element-C are on the left-hand side, circled in Figure 1a below.

4. The three leftmost slots are used to collect ambient oxygen and temperature readings from the monitor to the Element-C. Slightly loosen the three screws of the left most slots.

a. Insert the GREEN WIRE into the CL01:420mA Slot. Tighten the screw for the slot to secure the wire.

b. Insert the GREY WIRE into the GND Slot. Tighten the screw for the slot to secure the wire.

c. Insert the RED WIRE into the CL02:420mA Slot. Tighten the screw for the slot to secure the wire.

5. Connect the Connection Cable to Element-C as follows:

a. Slightly loosen the screws for Slot 1-4 on the green terminal block of the Element-C.

b. Insert the GREEN WIRE into Slot 1. Tighten the screw for the slot to secure the wire.

c. Insert the WHITE WIRE into Slot 2. Tighten the screw for the slot to secure the wire.

d. Insert the RED WIRE into Slot 3. Tighten the screw for the slot to secure the wire.

e. Insert the BLACK WIRE into Slot 4. Tighten the screw for the slot to secure the wire.
